MOJA DEE-JAY CORY BEE aka Cory Lamar Crockerman was born on August 27, 1971 in Charleston, SC. Cory grew up in Killeen and Houston, TX, and also in Charleston. It wasn't until Cory met, Vincent Dash aka DJ Vince Prince and his older brother Reginald aka DJ Bugsy Rock, that he started DJing. At the age of 13 Vince became real good. He used to always make Cory mix tapes. Until one day he said, "Man make your own tapes". Cory couldn't DJ, so he went to Vince's house everyday and practiced until he was flawless. They started doing all the parties, block and high school dance's. Around Downtown and West Ashley streets. Cory had mix tapes all over the area. In 1993 he was involved in a local rap group but never made any major moves. So he left and began pursuing Djing in clubs. He soon met Sean Dolby and Dwayne Graham aka DJ CASS. They all bonded quickly, and soon found themselves with WPAL 100.9 FM and gave Cass and Cory a spot on the radio. They began a show called the 5 o'clock phatt mix with Gerald McSwan. Cory stuck with the gig until issues arised and became frustrated then left. He did not want to return. It seems people have recognized off brand DJs before their own, but this did not stop him. He continued on his path until his mother passed away in 1998, and he felt is whole life changed. Cory took some time off, but came back grindin' those mixtapes never leaving Charleston. Now he has taking his time to be involved back into the game making beats and representing what he supposed to...HIP-HOP!
